“NEUROPSYCHOLOGIC EVALUATION TESTS”

Molecular Biology and Genetics Club organized a seminar on January 24, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Nurcan Orhan and Res. Assist. Hande Yüceer from Istanbul University Aziz Sancar Institute of Experimental Medicine attended as speakers to the seminar which was carried out via CATS. Molecular Biology and Genetics Club students were the moderators of the seminar, in which the academic staff, students and graduates of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics took part. In the event, detailed information was given about which tests neuropsychologists prefer in the detection of complex neurodegenerative diseases and the scoring of the tests. After sampling from the practices carried out in animal behaviour tests and the studies they carried out, the current practices and ethical concerns in the use of experimental animals were emphasized. The seminar ended with the answers to the questions of the students.
