Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics organized a seminar titled "Artificial Intelligence in Molecular Biology and Genetics" with Assoc. Prof. Ozan Karadağlı from Mimar Sinan University, Department of Statistics, Lecturer Ali Mertcan Köse from Haliç University and Lecturer Neslihan Gökmen from Koç University as speakers. At the event held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, Lecturer Ali Mertcan Köse gave detailed information about deep and machine learning applications and off-target predictions in CRISPR/Cas9 system gene editing. Lecturer Neslihan Gökmen made a presentation on the processing and modeling of medical images in the resection of tumor tissues using artificial intelligence techniques. Assoc. Prof. Ozan Karadağlı, Lecturer Ali Mertcan Köse and Lecturer Neslihan Gökmen discussed the usage patterns in the projects or studies done/to be done in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. In the seminar attended by our Department of Mathematics and Computer Science faculty members and students as well as Mimar Sinan University students, it was shared that the statistical scoring values ​​of web-based platforms are important in obtaining biological data.
