In the event held in Prof. Dr. Atilla Özalpan Seminar Hall on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in cooperation with the Molecular Biology and Genetics Club and the IEEE Club; Enes Bal, a 2020 graduate of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MOBIGEN), presented his presentation titled "From Project to Treatment (SMA and CRISPR Gene Therapy)".

In the speech, that the aims of “5-Gen SMA” teams, which took the first place in the competition and Enes Bal is also a member of, were mentioned, the results of Correcting the c.840 C>T Transition with Prime Editing and Increasing SMN2 Gene Activity and SMN Protein Expression by Providing the c.859 G>C Transformation discussed.
