However, these sciences are not limited to determine the characteristics of life, and the genetic engineering techniques developed by these disciplines has started a new era in biotechnology. Subjects such as recombinant vaccines and drugs, early diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases, the creation of plants and animals with desired features through gene transfer method are included in the scope of gene engineering applications.
