Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics held a seminar titled "Weapons Against Viral Infections" as part of the "Scientific Experience" course on Monday, March 21, 2022. The event, in which Sabire Ferda Kaleağasıoğlu from İstinye University was the speaker, was held as a hybrid ( Prof. Dr.Atilla Özalpan Seminar Hall and CATS).

The Founding Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MOBIGEN), our valuable teacher Prof. Dr. Atilla Özalpan, was commemorated with an event held on the 10th anniversary of his passing. Prof. Dr. Ali Demirsoy, one of the academicians of Hacettepe University, attended the event held on Wednesday, March 9, with his speech titled “Bio-Geological Perspective on Global Warming”. Molecular Biology and Genetics Club organized a seminar on January 24, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Nurcan Orhan and Res. Assist. Hande Yüceer from Istanbul University Aziz Sancar Institute of Experimental Medicine attended as speakers to the seminar which was carried out via CATS. Molecular Biology and Genetics Club students were the moderators of the seminar, in which the academic staff, students and graduates of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics took part.
