Assist. Prof. Alp Ayan, Res. Assist. Dr. Sinan Meriç and Res. Assist. Tamer, who are academicians of IKU Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MOBIGEN), presented the outcomes of their joint work by participating in the international “IV Balkan Agricultural Congress,” which was held on August 31- September 3, 2022, by Trakya University. In the congress, Assist. Prof Alp Ayan performed his oral presentation titled “RNA Sequencing Analysis of Salt and Drought Tolerance in Gamma-induced Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr) Mutants.”

A seminar was held in the laboratories of Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics on July 7, 2022, in which the special tricks needed to get better results by spending less time in the workflow of the Western Blotting technique, one of the most used methods in protein studies, were held.

İKÜ MOBİGEN participated in the international congress of IUBMB/FEBS/PABMB The Biochemistry Global Summit held in Lisbon, Portugal on 9-14 July 2022 by exhibiting 5 poster presentations. At the event, Dr. Assist. Prof.  Özge Rencüzoğulları, our 2021-2022 graduate students Setenay Şimal Delioğlu, Zehra Giritlioğlu and Helin Karakuş, and our senior students Kerem Yasin Yıldızhan, our third-year students İrem İnce and Yiğit Efe Aydın presented their scientific studies which they had conducted in the laboratories of our department.
